The Fullness Of God { pt2 } Elijahs Mantle

           The fullness of God should be something that every chrstian wants. People have different opinions of different things that can be obtained from God.. The gisfts of the spirit and tongues is moreso what people disbelieve. Thats why they dont have it. They dont believe it exists. People have an attitude of. " God? Show me and I will believe it." In the same token, I imagine God is telling them, " believe it and I will show you".

          When you become stagnant and satisfied at where you are at spiritually, you are in trouble brothers and sisters. I'm talking to the church, not the sinners. There is a place in God you can reach that makes the devils crowd run scared. Will you still have battles and obstaclrs? Sure you will! When these come along you will have the power to overcome. It's not your battle. It's the Lords battle. There is victory over these things.

I am going to read from the word about Elijah and Elisha. The verse takes up as Elijah and Elisha stand by the Jordan river.

II Kings 2:8-14  ( KJV )

And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.

And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.

And he said,Thou has asked a hard thing: Nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee: Butif not, it shall not be so.

And it came to pass,as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire,nd horses of fire, and parted them both asunder, and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.

He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him,and went back, and stood by the bank of the Jordan:

And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the Lord God of Elijah? and when he had also smitten thewaters, they parted hither and thither: And Elisha went over.

Here was a man who wasnt satisfied with just playing church. There are three types of people that attend church.

1) There is those that miss what happened.

2) There are those that want something to happen.

3) There are those who make something happen.

We need to search ourselves and ask ourselves this question. " If everybody in my church was just like me, what kind of church would it be?"

The fullness of God and His spirit is there for the people who desire to have it. It's not an endangered commodity, its free, its alive, its powerful. All should seek it.
