My Miracle From Heaven ( A True Story )

This story is a true story of a huge miracle in my life. Once you have read it, you will believe it as a miracle from heaven. It is important that you know my weight and height as of the time of this event, in order for you to imagine how I must have appeared at the time it took place. I was 6' 2" and weighed 185 pounds.

My story begins late one Friday night as I watched the late movies on television. My wife was asleep and after a hard weeks work, I just wanted to kick back and enjoy my weekend. I got up on a commercial break to get me a coke.

My next recollection of time was 8 days later. I awoke from what my wife called a coma, in the intensive care unit of a Houston Hospital. She told me the following. " You were watching movies Friday night before last and I was in bed. I heard a loud thud and went into where you were and you were passed out on the floor with blood coming out of your mouth. I called an ambulance. You had emegency surgery because your stomach had ruptured by what they said was a bad ulcer. You have been in extremely critical condition." end of quote.

Well, another week passed and I finally went home. I had a follow up visit at the doctor three days after my release. He removed my stitches and done some tests and told me that he didnt like what he found. He admitted me back into the hospital for surgery the next morning.

In surgery he put in a drainage tube because of infection setting in. My original incision was from my lower ribcage to just above my waist line. This incision was 3 inches long at my waist line. The surgery went okay, but I stayed in the hospital for another week due to my white blood count being very high. He took more tests and gangrene had set into my stomach. Well they could not control it. It was spreading. The antibiotics just wasnt touching it.

I remember people coming to see me, and my mom and wife, staying day and night. I was going down hill. The doctor said that I wasnt responding to treatment anyway, so I might as well go home. Go home to die. I had a follow up appointment two days later. After more tests, the results showed that the gangrene was in one kidney, one lung, my pancreas, and my stomach. When it reached my heart or brain, that would be it. I now weighed 97 pounds.

Four days later I developed, intestinal gangrene and weighed 91 pounds. I was very sick and week. Another week and I wasnt getting out of bed at all. Gangrene had spread and was close to my heart. I weighed 88 pounds now.

A few day passed. I was very weak. A day before another useless doctors appointment, my best friend came to see me. He spent the day. That evening he became distraught at my condition. He told me that he was going down the road to make a phone call. Later he returned and said his goodbyes.

The next morning as I was assisted to get cleaned up for my doctors visit, I told them that I had to use the bathroom. I was sat on the toilet and left to do my task. The bottom fell out. I couldnt stop going to the bathroom, and the fowlest odor you have ever smelled, filled the room and house. After that endured for a while, I was cleaned up and taken to my doctor.

He ran a bunch of tests and done some scopes and such and what seemed like an hour later, he came in and told my family this. " We dont have an explanation as of yet, but we can't find a trace of the gangrene in his system. His white blood count is normal." end of quote.

Getting back to the friend who had left to make a phone call. His uncle was an evangelist holding a tent revival in Georgia. Thats who my friend had phoned. Come to find out, they had interrupted the service when they got that call, and had prayer for me.

God healed me. It was my miracle from heaven.

I was slowly nurished back to health. At first, all I could eat was half a scrambled egg and a half piece of toast. Slowly my appetite grew and my wieght picked up. My next doctors visit was all good and yes, I told him about my miracle from heaven. He agreed!!!

About 6 months later I returned to work at a wieght of 175 pounds. I will never forget the way God reached down when all hopes were lost and healed me. He is still on the throne and awaits for people to trust in Him and call upon His name. I thank Him for my miracle.
