The Empty Tomb
59
Early on one Sunday morn,
All the townspeople flocked.
Up to the tomb of Jesus,
And they all were shocked.
For the stone was rolled away,
They could'nt find this man.
But what really confused them,
Was no footprints in the sand.
They started an investigation,
And asked a guard in sight.
But he could'nt explain it,
He had watched the tomb all night.
The morning turned to noon,
Without the least of clues.
But Mary knew the locality of,
Jesus, the king of the Jews.
That was the birth of Easter,
Cause Jesus had emptied the room.
We celebrate His resurrection,
Because of the empty tomb...
