The Demon ( True Encounter )

This hub is not for the fainthearted. As far as whether you believe it or not does not matter to me. All of the contents are true and really happened. It was an experience in which I will never forget as long as I live. I would not suggest trying what I did. I was younger, stupid, and didn’t think about what I asked for. It could happen to you. Trust me, you don’t want it...

It was warm, July, Friday night and a few friends, including an older brother had gathered at my house. My wife was there and we had no children at the time. Late in the evening, after dark, for some reason, we decided to buy candles and have a séance. With it being summertime, we had opened the windows in the house, and a light summer breeze would rustle the curtains every now and then. So we gathered around a table, lit the candles, and turned off the lights. That was the onset of the biggest nightmare of my entire life. The séance was just getting started.

We started calling up for someone to talk to us and that we meant them no harm. With nothing happening, after a while this got boring. So my older brother called to " The prince of darkness". He said that we invite you to come into our presence. All was quiet for a while and all of a sudden, we all got an eerie feeling. I figured that we were all just excited and psyched up. So after a while we quit doing that and turned the lights back on. We sat around a while talking and as it got later, they all went home and my wife and I went to bed. But.......

During the night something woke me. The house was dark as usual except for a small night light in the hallway outside our bedroom door. It cast a very dim glow into our bedroom. Looking up toward the doorway was a dark ghostly figure yet not a solid body. What I noticed was red glowing eyes looking at me. According to the eye level, this form was about 7 feet tall. I said to myself, " Oh Lord ". It turned and went down the hallway, slowly becoming transparent as this motion continued. I passed it off as my imagination or possibly a dream to where I thought I was awake and saw it. After what must have been, thirty minutes, I drifted back to sleep and slept the rest of the night.

The next morning I awoke and my wife and I had coffee at the table as we usually do. Everything seemed fine and I didn’t mention my so called dream. The next thing she uttered, really floored me. My face got hot, I got covered in goose bumps, and the hair on the back of my neck raised up. Fear rushed into me like a rushing wind, when she said, I had the weirdest dream last night. It was scary." I asked her what she dreamed. She began, "well, I dreamed that this dark form about 7 feet tall was staring at me from the doorway. It had glowing red eyes, and I said Jesus, and it turned to leave, but disappeared as it moved away. I didn’t say a word...

The same thing happened the next night. I then told my wife that we weren’t dreaming. We talked and agreed that it was a demon, sent by Satan, because we invited him.

The next night it started becoming increasingly violent. First, it shook doors, and then slammed them. We would hear bloodcurdling growls. We felt like an evil presence followed us throughout the house. The atmosphere was full of evil and hate. You could slice it with a knife. My wife was running bath water as she sat on the edge of the tub the next night. She felt like she was being watched and looked behind her. The figure stood over her with a butcher knife in an attack position. She screamed out “Jesus" and it left from her. I don’t think that the knife was real, but Satan can really make you fearful with illusions.

That was the last straw. We had to do something. My aunt was a devout Christian lady. I called her and briefly described what we had done about the séance, and what was happening. She told me to grab my wife and get in the car and come to her house as fast as possible, because this demon planned to kill us. We had a Chevy and a Cadillac in good condition. We ran from the house and an evil growl and groan echoed through the house. The cars wouldn’t crank. The growling got louder and more evil. The back door jerked open violently. Standing in the dark house, at that open doorway was that form with the glowing red eyes. We were both calling on Jesus by now. That’s when the car cranked and we left.

The next day my aunt called her church and talked to her pastor. After informing him of what had taken place, he called the elders of the church together and informed them that there was a demon in someone’s house, meaning to take someone’s life. It was very violent and they needed to act upon it.

My wife and I were instructed to wait at the church with some other people. An hour later they returned and said that the demon had been rebuked and couldn’t come back. My aunt had the gift of discerning evil spirits and she knows that it was gone. Oh we got a lecture about having a séance.

Shortly after that day, my wife and I came to Christ and turned over our lives to Jesus. Don’t be fooled. Demons are real and want your soul to burn in hell. Lucifer doesn’t create any friendlies. Please take my advice. Watch what you ask for because....you might get it
